The daily driving period should not exceed 9 hours per working day, with an exemption of twice a week when it can be extended to 10 hours. In addition to the mandatory breaks mentioned in the first paragraph, the daily rest period should be at least 11 consecutive hours. This can be reduced to 9 hours under certain strict conditions and to a limited extent.
The daily working time may not exceed a total of 12 hours (departure from and return to the depot). It may be extended to 14h in exceptional cases.
A second driver will take over the first one for up to 18 hours for any overrun. A supplement will be charged.
Weekly rest is to be taken after six consecutive days of working. In the event of a stay longer than 6 days in France, the driver must have a rest period of at least 24 hours. The number of consecutive working days is extended to 12 days in the case of an international stay.
